You may choose any or all of the following reasons to object to the proposal for a new quarry to be created at the Rainham Lodge Farm site and the continuation of use by Brett Aggregates of the site at Launder's Lane. You may also include any further objections you wish to add:
1. Plans for new quarries are being rejected.
2. There isn’t a need for new sources of sand and gravel.
3. The quarry industry admits dust, PM10 and PM2.5 particulates escape into the surrounding area.
4. There maybe an increased risk to resident health.
5. There maybe an economic cost to residents, the local NHS and Havering Council.
6. Brett appear to be proposing an increase in the level of HGV traffic locally.
7. Air quality in Havering is poor.
8. Air quality monitoring and concern that long term low level particulate exposure maybe harmful.
9. There maybe an increased risk of surface water flooding.
10. Potential groundwater or aquifer impact.
11. The traffic safety concern in the immediate area.
12. Ethical and consistent planning policy.
13. Protected wildlife could be impacted by quarry activity.
14. Decades of wildlife & environmental regeneration potentially at risk.
15. Impacts on rights of way.
16. The proposed operational hours start far too early.
17. The use of the weak bridge and narrow Park Farm Road by HGV Traffic is potentially dangerous.
